Basic Rifle

No prior experience needed. This is a fun training course to learn basic defensive rifle skills. In this class we will cover Geauga Firearms Academy Phase 4 Training Concept, proper mechanics, in depth rifle fundamentals, explanation of zeroing a rifle and proper distance, proper reloading procedure, iron sights vs optics, transitions between pistol and rifle, and so much more.

REQUIRED Basic Rifle Equipment

• AR15 chambered in 5.56/.223 (if you a variant SCAR, MINI 14, TAVOR, etc) please let me know.
•  Iron Sights (such as Mapul MBUS or equivalent)
• 2 magazines minimum
• 1 carbine mag pouch minimum
• Sling (single or two point)
• 250 rounds factory new (minimum)
• Ear protection (electronic preferred
•  Eye Protection
• Sturdy Belt
• Pistol/ Holster
• 100 rounds of pistol ammo (if you don’t have 100, try to bring at least 50)

RECOMMENDED Basic Rifle Equipment

• Red Dot 1x or no magnification (sighted in at a chosen distance if possible)
• Baseball Style Hat
• Cleaning Kit
• Weapons lube
• Seasonal appropriate clothing
• Sunscreen
• Bug repellent
• Water, water and more water
• Camping or folding chair
• Lunch and snacks, no refrigerator
