Defensive Rifle 2

This is NOT a beginner course, students should have a solid command of rifle fundaments. Prior training such as our Basic Rifle Course, LEO, Military, or equivalent training is necessary to get the most out this course. Rifles need to be zeroed PRIOR to the class. Defensive Rifle focuses on close distances 50 yards and in, pushes students to develop skills for defensive encounters, understanding proper holdover, tactical and speed reloads, transitions, malfunction clearance, working around cover, basics of single man room clearing, and much more.

REQUIRED Basic Rifle Equipment

• No GREEN TIP AMMO

•             AR Rifle chambered in 5.56/.223 or 300 BLK (variants  are acceptable such as AK, SCAR, MINI 14, TAVOR, etc.. however not all techniques will be applicable) 

•             ZEROED Iron Sights and/or Optics

•             2 magazines minimum

•             1 carbine mag pouch minimum

•             Sling (single or two point)

•             400 rounds factory new (minimum)

•             Ear protection (electronic preferred)

•             Eye Protection

•             Gun/Battle Belt

•             Pistol/ Holster

•             100 rounds of pistol ammo 

RECOMMENDED Basic Rifle Equipment

•             Any kit you wish to train in, if you are LE we encourage you to wear your full issued kit

• Additional Mag Pouch and Magazine

• 400 rounds is the minimum however additional rounds is highly recommended
• Knee Pads

•             Baseball Style Hat

•             Cleaning Kit

•             Weapons lube

•             Seasonal appropriate clothing

•             Sunscreen

•             Bug repellent

•             Water, water and more water

•             Camping or folding chair

•             Lunch and snacks, no refrigerator
